Perception... "the process of using the senses to interpret and understand the world around us." - AI (?) ... by means of sensory information, cognitive functions, perceptual organization, cultural factors, and personality. Perspective is a point of view forged from our unique perceptions. This is why I think every individual on earth matters... we each see the world differently.
My perspective is this... the world is beautiful in countless ways. People are unique and interesting and special in their own ways. Both Neandethals and Homo Sapiens are young in the grand scope of human development. They are still growing and evolving into that which they are meant to become.
The unbeaten path is difficult. It is hard to stray off the road and it is a lonley journey because few can relate. There are good people to be found everywhere! In high and low places. On my path, I didn't have the luxury to forge super-close relationships with many people, but I made some amazing friends in the hour or day I spent with them. Sometimes we were besties for a week. Sometimes distant friends for 40 years. However it went, we left beautiful marks on each other along our way. To this day, I still love and care about those people.
Depth of love is a remarkable fathom in some. And on the flipside of that beauty, depth of hell is its shadow... because loss is a mirror to that love. And when love is lost, waving in and out as it does sometimes, hell is found. In that pain, there is tremendous knowledge. Odin, the Norse god, lost an eye for knowledge. I know how he feels. To have suffered great loss is also to have known monumental love.
To some, the heart bleeds. To others, the heart leaves. And to others... the bleeding heart that leaves some things behind is the one that flies. Sometimes we must die in order to live. Death hurts. But we must push through every death inside of us and live in reality... in three-dimensionality... where it really counts and the impact is made.
Words are words. They have different meanings to different people. That's why it's important to understand that one's own perception is the reality in which they live. That's why two-way conversation is critical in some instances. Colors are colors. Shapes are shapes. What each individual chooses to consume is a reflection of themselves. How they interpret things is a reflection of themselves and their reality-influences.
Who am I? "I" am who I choose to be. If I keep choosing the good road, that is where I am, regardless of what people wish on me or do to me. Life is a destination. We choose to fight through our pain or let it destroy us. We choose who and how to love. We choose to take a risk on those we love. We choose to fight for those we love... or not. I fought for someone I love through endless hells because I've known his soul for centuries. And souls, my friends, have memory. Be good to each other, inside and out. And if you're in deep, step by step in any direction you choose because the heart is free.
